Trumping all of the GR stores, GRSiLverlake got nominated for Best Children's Gifts as part of some new site that's nominating stores to get more traffic and notoriety. Yeah, we know it's a scam, and children's toys? Our cabinets are too tall for the kids, but if it's for big children, I guess we'll buy that... the bad thing is that they stole our photos.

Red Toothed Wedgehead
Giant Robot, with the help of Uglydoll creators David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim, are proud to announce a coast-to-coast fundraiser for Operation Smile. Funds will be raised through the sale of raffle tickets to get a shot at owning a limited edition “Red Tooth Wedgehead” plush toy signed by David and Sun-Min.
The elusive “Red Tooth Wedgehead” has just been unleashed by Uglydoll, and only 200 of them were made available across the country. Giant Robot will make 12 of these rare plushes available to customers through fundraising events at our stores in Los Angeles, New York and online at giantrobot.com. On Saturday, February 25th, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, David and Sun-Min will be present at the Giant Robot Silver Lake store to pick four raffle winners who will be the lucky recipients of the “Red Tooth Wedgehead”. Raffle tickets will cost $3 and all proceeds will go to Operation Smile. Also on the 25th, an online fundraiser will go live on secure.giantrobot.com, with four winners selected on March 4th. East Coast Uglydoll fans will have a shot at the “Red Tooth” action with a fundraising event scheduled on Saturday, March 4th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Giant Robot New York.
Operation Smile works all over the world to help children who are born with facial deformities, and no access to corrective surgery, find a new face with a brighter smile. One surgery can cost as little as $240, and one changed smile can change the world. Giant Robot and Uglydoll creators, David Horvath and Sun Min Kim, hope to raise funds to help Operation Smile in their mission to change children’s lives.
